Used
with the 3Com VCX 7000 IP Telephony Solution, the 3Com
VCX V7200 Call Controller integrates PSTN and robust,
cost-effective IP-based infrastructures to perform signaling,
call treatment, and back-office functions. The high-availability
solution offers redundancy and failover mechanisms for
carrier-class reliability. VCX V7200 components can
be centrally managed even when deployed on multiple
servers and locations.
Based
on business needs, including depreciation schedules
of legacy voice equipment, enterprises can pace their
migration to IP telephony. For additional cost control,
3Com can integrate PBXs or KSUs into the IP network
at some sites while replacing these legacy systems with
IP telephones at other sites—all utilizing centralized
call control and common applications from the VCX 7210
IP Call Processor.
The
VCX V7210 solution includes call control, session management,
and device control functions for gateways and clients.
The standards-based call processor supports the Session
Initiation Protocol (SIP) specification and delivers
the investment assurance of interoperability with other
IP telephony networks.
The
VCX V7220 Accounting Suite helps analyze network performance
and operation, and pinpoints customer calling patterns
and inappropriate system use. The VCX V7230 Enterprise
Management Suite delivers full control over IP-based
voice networks.
